The Rotary Clubs of Fleming Island and Green Cove Springs are bringing you a charity bicycle event designed for both road cyclists and leisure riders.
The fundraiser will benefit The Way Clinic, Clay High School College Scholarships, and other charities.
LEISURE CYCLISTS
The Family Fun Ride ( 2.3 miles) starts at 9:00 am (immediately following the Kid’s Bike Rodeo).
$10/adult and free for children. Please preregister online!
Riders will turn right out of the Hibernia Baptist Church parking lot onto the Black Creek Trail and will proceed to the trailhead where they will turn around and return to the Church.
Water and Gatorade will be provided at the start and finish. ALL riders must wear helmets. Free helmets with fitting for children without their own helmet.
CHILDREN
The Health Planning Council of Northeast Florida hosts the Bike Rodeo during this Rotary Fundraising Event. Activities include teaching and promoting bike safety to children. The children will rotate from station to station learning proper helmet fitting, rider safety and cycling education, and ABC bike checks. Following this, they will celebrate what they learned on the fun bike obstacle course.
Children are expected to bring their own bikes and helmets ( if not available they will be provided) to participate in the fun bike safety obstacle course. For ages 4 and up.
It’s free but please preregister online.
ROAD CYCLISTS
Enjoy a scenic and shaded bike ride which starts by riding through Green Cove Springs and winds through the Bayard Conservation.
Take your pick of two routes: 25 miles or Metric 100 (62 miles). Both starts at 7:30 am
We’ll provide rest stops stocked with food, water and Gatorade, marked routes, maps, mechanical support, SAGs, Clay County Sheriff motorcycle safety escorts, and a post-ride lunch.
This is a CAAM Event!
