Local Rotarians are sponsoring a one-day biking fundraiser on Saturday, June 16th. Cyclists can pedal their way to help eradicate polio through Rotary International and to help support the area Royal Family KIDS.
Columbus Morning Rotaryand Columbus Noon Rotary Clubs are spearheading the 9th annual Loup d’ Loup END POLIO NOW bike ride which begins at 8:00 a.m. at Izaak Walton, south of Columbus.
Registration begins at 6:30 a.m.

All participants will be included in a drawing to win a new bike, sponsored by Avenue Chiropractic and Wellness Center andNebraska Cycling and Fitness. The winner will be announced at the beginning of the ride and must be present to win.
About Loup d’ Loup (check out our fun video that our clubs produced previously about Loup d’ Loup and the project we had that year)
The ride begins and ends at Izaak Walton, south of Columbus (SW corner of the HWY 81 – HWY 30 Junction.) Loup d’ Loup is a tour bike ride open to cyclists of all levels covering up to 59 miles of Northeast Nebraska’s scenic Loup River loop. The ride begins and ends in Columbus, making stops through the communities of Duncan, Silver Creek, Shelby, west of Osceola. At each stop, fully supported sags will be available with ample water and food for riders. All routes will end at Izaak Walton in Columbus, NE where a post-ride celebration with complimentary food and drinks will be available to all ride participants and their families. Proceeds from this fun ride will benefit International Rotary’s mission to eradicate polio and Royal Family KIDS Camp.
Royal Family KIDS is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that provides its services without charge to foster families and social workers.
Royal Family KIDS Camp is a resident camp especially designed for 7-11 year-olds who are in, or
have been, in foster care. The primary purpose of Royal Family KIDS Camp is to give children a week of positive memories in a Christian environment.
Royal Family KIDS Camp of Columbus depends solely on donations, fundraising, and community grants. Participation in this event can help make a big difference in a child’s life!
