We have affectionately given our local Cycling group the name of Etown Old F.A.R.T.S. (Friends All Riding Together for Service). The Etown Old FARTS fellowship enjoys several outings during the year for recreational and fellowship purposes. The only competitive aspect to our rides is trying to beat Bart to the beer at the end of the rides.
2015 Rides included the York Heritage Rail Trail, The Lehigh-Gorge Rail Trail Bike Train, and Pine Creek Rail Trail in northern PA.
2016 Rides included ...
Buffalo Valley Rail Trail for Rotary Pedals Out Polio - June 4 - 10 riders
mid- June ...5 of us rode the Schuykill River Trail from Valley Forge to Conshohoken and back.
late summer ... riding the trails on Kent Island MD and visiting the Blackwater Distillary.
2017 Rides....
May 20th ... the Great Allegheny Passage trail https://www.traillink.com/trail/great-allegheny-passage.aspx from Deal to Cumberland. (mostly downhill).
... we have rented the shuttle for 9 am Saturday morning
... we plan to stay overnight Friday night in Cumberland.
